No fancy arguments, no lengthy lectures but if you are from amongst those who choose not to pray, then you are not in the state of Islam, as per the words of our Prophet, (Upon Whom Be Peace), who said: "Verily, between man and polytheism and disbelief is abandonment of the prayer." (Sahih Al Muslim)

You’re probably thinking, what gives this website the right to tell me if I am in the fold of Islam or not. Right? Well, this is where we say, this is the view of Allah and His Messenger, not us, hence it’s their statements that we bring to you. We are sure you are a great person, we are sure you even have many noteworthy Islamic values, all we are saying is that Allah prescribes what he identifies as Islam, and he has established Islam upon the prayer, hence he said: "Guard strictly the (five obligatory) prayers" (Al Quran 2:238)

The basics of prayer are very simple. Nevertheless, feel free to navigate through the downloads provided on ‘how to pray’, which will take you through all the key considerations you need.

The main thing is, make the conviction in your heart that you want to do it, and then set about the journey of learning the prayer again if you have forgot it, or, simply start praying again. The key in walking this path to fulfilling the purpose of life is remembering that many obstacles will come your way, but they are from Satan, and can be overcome very simply; just keep reminding yourself of the words of your creator, as were relayed by the Messenger of Allah, who said:

"Almighty Allah says, I treat my slave (man) according to his expectations from Me, and I am with him when he remembers Me….and if he walks towards Me, I run unto him."

Now establishing the prayer is very simple, however if it has been some time since you have prayed, worry not, help is at hand.

The first thing we have to remember is that, we can pray pretty much anywhere, as our Prophet, Upon Whom Be Peace Said; "The whole earth has been made for me a pure and clean mosque" (Bukhari)

Just Go Do It is a campaign that has been brought together by Mercy Mission; a movement at the heart of which is the emergence of a world where every Muslim is able to live faithfully to their belief, building an exemplary Islamic society that benefits humanity.

"What has caused you to enter into the terrible torment?" They said: "We were not of those who used to pray." [Al Quran, 74: 42-43]

The issue of the prayer is critical in the life of a Muslim, and we are glad more Muslims now realise it.
